Finding & Booking Workers
Browse our wide range of service categories — from cleaning and driving to caregiving, events, construction, and more — to find the right worker for your needs. You can filter by category and location. Trustawork currently operates in Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Abuja, with more major cities coming soon. View worker profiles, ratings, and reviews before making a decision.
You can post a shift specifying what you need, when, and where. With an Open shift, your request is broadcast to all qualified workers in your area — any eligible worker can book it directly, great for when you need someone quickly. With a Selective shift, you handpick a specific worker (or shortlist) based on their profile, ratings, and experience — they apply and you confirm. Ideal when you want a particular person you've worked with before or someone with specific qualifications.
Once a worker is confirmed for your shift, you can message them directly through the Messages tab. Conversations open in-app 6 hours before the shift start time. Tap on the conversation to discuss shift details, share instructions, or coordinate arrival.
Clock-In & Clock-Out
When your worker arrives, you will provide them with a unique 4-digit verification code from the portal to clock in and officially start the shift. When the shift ends, you provide another code for them to clock out. This system ensures accurate time tracking, so you only pay for actual hours worked, and it protects both you and the worker.
Worker Reliability
Every worker on Trustawork has a reliability score (out of 100) that reflects how dependable they are. It's calculated over their last 35 shifts and considers: shift completion rate, on-time clock-ins, late cancellations, no-shows, and ratings from other clients. A higher score means a more reliable worker — use it to make informed decisions when booking.
If a worker cancels, we'll automatically assign you a replacement worker for Open shifts. For Selective shifts, you'll be notified to select another candidate from your shortlist. If a replacement worker cannot be assigned in time, you will receive a full refund.
Booking Types
We offer flexible booking options to suit your needs: Hourly/Single-Day for one-off tasks or short jobs (minimum 4 hours), Multi-Day for projects requiring several consecutive days of work, Weekly for regular recurring needs over a week, and Monthly for ongoing support. Longer booking commitments come with lower hourly rates, so you save more when you book for extended periods.
Yes, all bookings have a minimum duration of 4 hours. This ensures workers can commit adequate time to your task and deliver quality results. For longer or recurring needs, consider our multi-day, weekly, or monthly booking options for better continuity and lower rates.
Tips & Transport Reimbursements
Yes! You can add a tip when posting your shift or at the end of a shift during your timecard review. Tipping is completely optional — it's a great way to show appreciation for excellent work, but it is never required.
When posting a shift, you can indicate whether you'd like to offer transport reimbursement to help cover the worker's transport costs. This is completely optional — you can choose not to offer it, offer a partial amount, or cover the full transport cost. You finalise reimbursements at the end of a shift.
No — workers keep 100% of all tips and transport reimbursements. Trustawork does not take any portion of tips or reimbursements. Every bit goes directly to the worker.
Payments
When you book a worker, your payment is held securely by Trustawork. The funds are only released to the worker after the job is completed, they clock out, and you confirm satisfaction. This protects both parties and ensures you only pay for work that's actually done. You can pay via multiple supported payment methods on the platform.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel a booking more than 24 hours before the shift start time with a full refund and no fees. If you cancel within 24 hours of the shift start, a cancellation fee is charged on the labour cost portion of your payment (excluding tips and transport): 25% for Single-Day bookings, 15% for Multi-Day or Weekly bookings, and 5% for Monthly bookings. The remainder is refunded to you. This fee exists because workers have already committed their time and may have turned down other opportunities.

Trust & Verification
Every worker on Trustawork completes a thorough verification process including: (1) Phone number verification via OTP, (2) National Identification Number (NIN) verification, and (3) Facial verification to confirm their identity. Workers also build up ratings and reviews from previous clients, so you can make informed decisions. Our platform is designed with safety and trust at its core — that's why it's called Trustawork.
