Trustawork is built on trust. Every worker on our platform is a verified professional who has invested time in building their reputation. These guidelines exist to ensure that every interaction on Trustawork is fair, safe, and respectful — for everyone.
As a client, your behaviour shapes the experience for workers and the broader community. We ask that you uphold these standards whenever you use the Platform.
Treat Workers with Respect
Treat every worker as a skilled professional. Use courteous language in all communications — before, during, and after the shift. Workers are entitled to a respectful working environment.
Verbal abuse, sexual harassment, threats, intimidation, or any form of discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, or other characteristics is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate account suspension.
Any physical harm or threats toward workers will result in permanent account termination and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Be Honest and Accurate
Provide truthful descriptions of the work involved, the location, working conditions, and duration. Misleading workers about the nature of a shift undermines trust and may result in removal from the Platform.
Ratings and reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Do not leave false, exaggerated, or retaliatory reviews. Fair feedback helps the whole community make better decisions.
Do not post shifts you do not genuinely intend to fill. Fraudulent or test postings waste workers' time and harm the Platform's integrity.
Protect Worker Safety
Ensure the work environment is safe and appropriate for the task. If a role involves physical risk, provide necessary protective equipment and clear safety instructions before the shift begins.
Do not require workers to stay beyond the agreed shift duration without mutual agreement and updated compensation. Provide clock-out PINs promptly when the shift ends.
Do not request workers to perform tasks that are illegal, dangerous without proper safeguards, or outside the scope of the services offered on the Platform.
Keep Interactions On-Platform
Attempting to recruit, engage, or pay workers outside of the Trustawork Platform to avoid fees or circumvent our systems violates these guidelines and our Terms of Service. This protects both you and the worker — off-platform engagements remove the payment protections and dispute resolution tools we provide.
Communicate with workers through the Platform's messaging system. This keeps a clear record of any instructions, agreements, or issues — which is useful if a dispute arises.
Privacy
Do not record workers (audio or video) without their explicit consent, except where security systems are clearly disclosed in advance at the stated shift location.
Worker contact details or profile information obtained through the Platform may not be shared with third parties or used for purposes unrelated to the confirmed booking.
Enforcement
Trustawork reviews reports of guideline violations and takes appropriate action, which may include:
- A written warning
- Temporary suspension of your account
- Permanent termination of your account
- Reporting to law enforcement where applicable
We take the safety of our worker community seriously. Even a single serious violation may result in immediate permanent ban.
Reporting a Concern
If a worker behaves inappropriately or if you experience any issue during a shift, please report it through the Platform's support feature or contact us at hello@trustawork.com. We investigate all reports promptly and confidentially.
